Beautiful music, and film.

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

This is one album that I don't think I'll ever tire of. I've been listening to it in loop for a few months now, and it just keeps on transporting me...
It is a fusion of Mozart and chinese music at it's best. I think it is sublime!

Tracks #1 (La montagne Phénix), #10 (Le soupir du bois), and #26 (La grotte des livres) are good examples of the atmosphere created by this music.
You can hear excerpts of it here.

By the way the film is very good also.

Mean beauty, last post.

These are the last photos of this (giant?) thistle. I intend to rip it out as soon as the flowers have all withered. The ruler is 72 inches long.

A day at Jenness Beach, NH

This is a quickly realized panoramic photomerge relating a cloudless day at Jennes Beach, New Hampshire...

Today at "Les Belles d'un Jour"

I took a few minutes at lunch to visit Michel, my neighbour, and catch a few shots of the blooming daylilies. It must be the peak of the season around here...

Some welcome shade...
